Original Music

Centered around brothers JT and Brendan Viele, the Teddy Holidays have been writing and performing original music for over a decade. Drawing influence from a wide array of sources (from the Beatles to the Rx Bandits), the Teddys music is progressive and melodic, complex but accessible. They released the 'Arctic EP’ in 2010, followed by "Penrose Steps EP" in 2014. Both are available on iTunes, Spotify, Soundcloud, and Bandcamp.

The Teddys have had the good fortune to play on many of the Twin Cities’ best stages: the Triple Rock, 7th Street Entry, the Fineline, the Varsity Theater, Icehouse, and many more. The Teds would love to see you at a show soon.

Weddings

The Teddy Holidays are one of the Twin Cities' premier wedding bands. With an extensive rock-n-roll-centered repertoire, the Teddys are sure to keep your guests dancing and entertained. Having played dozens of weddings and hundreds of shows over the last decade, The Teds are confident that you will not find a more professional, fun, and affordable ensemble for your special day.
The Teddy Holidays would be honored to provide the musical entertainment for your wedding. We have an extensive and varied repertoire, ranging from the Beatles and The Rolling Stones to Motown and Michael Jackson, all the way to Weezer and The Black Keys. With a little advance notice, we are also happy to learn a few songs especially for you - for, say, the bride and groom’s first dance, the father and daughter dance, or simply a song that might have special significance to you. The Teddys offer a variety of musical arrangements, everything from a full rock band (with drums, bass, electric guitars and piano) to a quieter acoustic ensemble. Our acoustic ensemble is perfectly suited for your ceremony, or as a little background music for your cocktail hour, to entertain your guests as they arrive to the reception, or as an accompaniment to your dinner. We can then transition, when the time is right, to a rock and roll band that will keep your guests dancing and entertained all night. The Teddy Holidays are a fully self-sufficient wedding entertainment option. We arrive with all the musical, sound and light equipment needed (you won’t need to rent a P.A. or speakers as many bands require). This means we can make pretty much any space work, a stage is not necessary (though it can be nice, if you are so inclined). Minnesota Monthly Magazine named the Teddy Holidays “the best cover band in the Twin Cities.” But don’t take their word for it; we would love if you’d come check us out at one of our many shows around the Twin Cities and surrounding area, and see if you agree that we are the right fit for your wedding entertainment.

Beatles Tribute

Everybody loves the Beatles, but nobody loves them quite like the Teddys do. They are our favorite band, our biggest influence, and covering Beatles tunes is probably the thing we do best in this world. It doesn't hurt that their vocal ranges are roughly identical to ours. We currently play over 60 Beatles songs and are learning more all the time. We occasionally put together all-Beatles shows, and have even performed the album 'Rubber Soul' in its entirety. That performance convinced MN Monthly Magazine to call The Teddy Holidays "The Best Cover Band in the Twin Cities".

Whether you're looking for a band to play 45 minutes of original music or 4 hours of rock and roll covers, the Teddys have got you covered. We've played everywhere from the Triple Rock and 7th Street Entry to dive bars that you've never heard of. The Teddys are a prompt, professional rock band. Having played countless college bars, pubs, dives, classy joints, hotel bars, etc., we are adept at adjusting our volume and playlist to the acoustics of your room and the demographics of your clientele. *The Teds come prepared. We will provide our own sound system and lighting upon request.

Acoustic Duo

The Teddys love to turn it up to 11, but we realize that many settings call for a little quieter, more intimate musical accompaniment. So if you’d like to hear some of your favorite songs played live, and not have your ears ringing as a result, then the Teddy Holidays acoustic ensemble is the way to go. The Teddys acoustic have played everything from Irish Pubs, Happy-Hour patios, graduation parties, wedding cocktail hours, company holiday parties, school picnics, and most everything in between.
